The cats pictured on this page are now retired from our breeding program. They have been part of the foundation that has produced the current crop of Dewisplear babies. We are honored that they have been part of our family.

Congratulations to Lynn Hofstetter of Irishcoons. FiFi was the 5th to grand from her cat family, putting the esteemed "Distinguished Merit" title on her mom. FiFi has beautiful type and structure, she represents her breed well. She is a lovely girl, outgoing, sound in mind and body. She loves her morning hugs and kisses, can't wait to be combed and enjoys her play time. She will make a wonderful companion, up to date on all vaccinations; and comes with a health guarantee.
GC, RW, DEWISPLEAR LAFAYETTE MAYFAIR Accomplishments 9 th Best Kitten -2009-2010 Region IV Birth Date: 6/19/2009 Sire: Black Tye Chance's Are Lafayette achieved his regional win as a kitten during the 2009-2010 show season. He was also ranked 4 th best Maine Coon kitten nationally. In 2011, Lafayette was 24 th Best cat in the Great Lakes Region He has outstanding conformation, prominent forechest, well muscled and balanced, not to be outdone by his rugged coat and beautiful brown mackerel pattern. HOBBIES: Lafayette's hobbies are head butts and sweet kisses on the mouth We would like to thank Lynn Hofstetter of Irishcoons and Sharon and David Ceja of Black Tye for allowing us to breed our Rowan to Chance. GC, RW DEWISPLEAR RUE ROYALE Accomplishments 22 th Best Kitten -2004-2005 Region IV Birth Date 6/10/04 Sire: GC Dewisplear Cortland Mayfair Rue Royale achieved a regional win as a kitten and 10 th Best Maine Coon Kitten nationally in 2004-2005. He became our first “one show grand” and followed that with a regional win in championship the following year. My knee surgery ended his show career that season. Rue is an exquisite brown mackerel tabby with white, balanced and well muscled. Rue loved the shows and the crowds of people who adored him. Rue Royale is now retired and lives with our dear friends Jac and Kay. ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL, THE LORD GOD LOVES THEM ALL
Accomplishment Distinguished Merit 2005 Birth Date: 12/27/01 Sire: GC Coonyham's Surfer Dude of XTC, DM Deirdre is one of our foundation queen's, bred to GC, RW 5800 Dreams Clyde Vandusen 1929 she produced our famous litter of eight. Deirdre was our first queen to achieve the distinguished merit title. She is one fine girl…and still is. Many, many Thank you's to R.C. and Mary Smith, no longer showing or breeding we are grateful for their legacy. Hobbies: Retired from the birthing box Deirdre oversees her grandchildren, and great grandchildren often bringing them a favorite toy. When the house is unruly she has the uncanny ability of giving the house what we like to call “the hairy eyeball” or “the look of an owl”.
GC, RW DEWISPLEAR ANGELIQUE MAYFAIR, DM Accomplishments 12th Best Kitten 2003-2004 Region IV Birth Date: 03/19/03 Sire: GC, RW 5800 Dreams Clyde Vandusen 1929 Angelique is part of our famous litter of eight. Her accomplishments speak for themselves both inside and outside the birthing box. As a kitten she was a regional winner, achieved the title of Grand Champion with ease and was shown at our international qualifier where she was highest scoring cat in Championship “Best in Show”, in Niles Ohio. She produced seven grand champions including our National/Breed Winner (Pierce), 5 th highest scoring cat in the European Division (Augustine) who was also a regional kitten winner 3 rd best Maine Coon Kitten and a one show grand and five regional winners. In 2010-2011 she has GC Dewisplear Ivy of Angtini and GC, RW Dewisplear Treme of Nekoland. In 2011 Angelique retired from the birthing box. Her last children are beginning their show career this summer Stay tuned as Dewisplear Yuri Stefano and Dewisplear Angelina Mayfair start there show careers. HOBBIES: QUEEN OF EVERYTHING

GC, RW DEWISPLEAR VAN ABLE 16th Best Cat in Championship 2007-2008 Region IV Birth Date: 12-18-2006 Sire: GC, BW, NW Tuvets Matha´s Pick of Abizaq Brothers each achieved the title of regional winner one in championship and one as a kitten. Augustine now owned by Marion Birk of Indiansummer in Muenster, Germany, went on to become 5th Best Cat in Europe. Van Able owned by Bill and Nancy Buckland of nabscmc (nancyandbill's cardianmainecoon). HOBBIES: Able is such a hunk of burning love, he just spreads it around where ever he goes. Augustine much like his brothers brings joy to everyone who has touched his life. We wish both boys long and happy lives. 
GP, RW DEWISPLEAR TALTOS Accomplishments 11 th Best Premier 2004-2005 Region IV Birth Date: 03/19/03 Sire: GC, RW 5800 Clyde Vandusen 1929 Taltos has long been retired from the show ring; he was raised with our son and his dog Mac as well as our first queen CH Dar Morev's Grainne of Dewisplear. Grainne picked our son Joel and Taltos has always had real zest for life. He came back to live with us for a while when he was over a year old, already neutered we decided to see if he would enjoy the show hall. I remember the first day we let him sit, second day I walked him around and let him take in the sites. The next show he got winner's ribbons, made finals as an open and took on the show hall with all he had. In his mind, all the people were there just for him. From that time on he never took the smile off his face, never met a stranger he didn't like. We had a whole year like that; I've never had so much fun showing a cat as we did with Taltos. He is now back living his life with our son and his boys. You can see what I'm talking about from his photos, there was many a show we had 10 to 15 spectators surrounding us most of the day. Taltos was Best Maine Coon and 11 th Best premier in our Region during the 2004-2005 show season. Every time we show a cat for regional or national awards we always have so many wonderful memories of the people we've met along the way. As with Taltos, we still treasurer most of the friends we've met along the way. We would especially like to Thank Cathy Calhoun of 5800 Dreams for allowing us all those many years ago as new breeders to breed Deirdre to Clyde. From this breeding we produced our famous litter of eight and in our opinion raised the bar in Maine Coons. Thank You Cathy for your kindness and friendship.
GC,GP, RW DEWISPLEAR QUINN BLACKWOOD Accomplishments GC, GP 2005-2006 Region IV Birth Date: 03/01/04 Sire: GC, Dewisplear Armand Quinn, a single kitten owned and loved by Bill and Nancy Buckland, granded in championship and premiership in the same year. He was also the fifth cat to grand that qualified his mother Deirdre to achieve the Distinguished Merit title. In the 2006-2007 show year he was 21 st cat in premiership.
GC, ABIZAQ HUGS & KISSES OF DEWISPLEAR, DM Accomplishments Distinguished Merit 2006 Birth Date: 02/14/00 Sire: GC, NW NOOGATS RENAULT BLANC Lydia was our first grand champion in CFA, has a Distinguished Merit title. Her sire Remmy was one grand short of holding a Distinguished Merit title. We love that girl power in the show ring! Lydia now 11 years old has been such a joy in our lives. Her breeders called her “spoiled” we call it loved.
